Arrived at 8:30 pm first time... Restaurant was closing. Arrived at 7:30 pm the next day, owner said "nothing to serve anymore"... So basically half an hour walking for nothing... Make sure you arrive early, folks eat around 6pm, even on a Saturday night in the middle of summer 😀

They are extremely generous with their food. The pasta that was eggplant and tomato, the salad was great and the shrimp! And we got a pizza which was great too! And the fish avocado burger was great too! Highly recommend this place and the vibe is super chill! The women waiter was very nice too!

What I say, special taste is not special reasonable. But I will go through many times. That's probably "The Cafe" so what's that yeah.

The atmosphere of the shop is also good! Both the rice and the dessert are delicious.

Perfect cafe for the vibe and atmosphere of Shimoda. Food was very good. We got the pizza, pasta and the apple pie.

It was delicious cake and coffee. You can also play musical instruments.

Tried eating here 2 days in a row because it was recommended. 1st time they ran out of food around 1730 for 2 people. 2nd time, they couldn't accommodate 9 people even though there was no one inside.

The atmosphere is the best with a great sense of interior. The food also feels great, but there may be unevenness depending on the person making it. So 4 starsI want to come again.

Definitely top 3 cafes in Japan for food quality. I don’t think you can go wrong with anything on the menu. This was a hidden gem but is becoming more well known so be warned, it fills early, it closes early and they can sell out.

I was able to experience a different mood like an overseas cafe.

So, this place is a proper restaurant. The owner/ manager are doing a great job. Great food at good prices and the interior captures the Shimoda/ Island feeling.

I go there many times every time I go to Shimoda. Great atmosphere and interior again. You can't get this atmosphere overnight. Furniture, furnishings, toilet hand sink feel and everything is real. A miraculous shop in Shimoda. And dogs OK!The cuisine is also basically Mexican, with Italian and American tastes. The bread is also homemade and no matter what menu you eat, there is no loss. And about 1,000 yen.Dessert is 400 yen for delicious tart and apple pie more than cake shops!There are many writings that there is no amiability, but I think that it is a shyness as if it is a shop for basic local people. I'm even more happy to be able to use PayPay (^^)

I highly recommend this place! The food was incredible with large portions. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and we didn't have to wait long for our did to be cooked. I had the chili burger, my wife had the enchilada, and we're shared the chicken wings. All three were the best of that dish that we've had in Japan yet, and we've lived here for 2 years now. And for all foreigners, the menu is in English too.

Anyway, cospa is good !!!!Since I came out with a quality higher than the fee, I just asked too much.Tapioca was also full-fledged and refreshing and easy to drink.When I went to Shimoda, it was a cafe I would definitely like to stop by.

One of best Lunch in Izu area. Make sure to reach early, they open by 11:30am, Although we reached 11:30am, but need to wait for 20mins because already people secure places, Sitting capacity is little less, but food was amazing, Quantity is more than average Japanese meal,Drinks are at par, what a taste, we drove 200kms just to have lunch here.

Awesome food, massive portion, great view, nice staff, on site car park for about 5 cars. Very crowded on weekends. Weekdays aren't so day.

Seems like the go- to place for lunch when doing motorcycle riding around Izu. Everything very high quality. Nice outdoor patio (with smoking however) for sunny days.

We stopped off for a coffee on the way down the coast. Lovely staff, amazing coffee and yummy food. I would highly recommend it. The Banana Cafe is something unique and nice to try.

Wonderful food in a small cozy corner cafe setting. Nice beach “Shimoda feel”. Food is truly outstanding, price is great and comes fast which is awesome together with the quality and nice ambience. Can’t go wrong.Worth giving 5 stars especially with the generous homemade apple pie and ice cream at only 400 yen. My wife and my “go to” spot in Shimoda for lunch. Small warning: Parking can be tough (it’s busy and there are only 6-7 parking spots).

It is open for early in the morning and is ideal for taking in the ocean.It is delicious what you eat, but you can not remove garlic shrimp salad.Although it increases the price on the whole, there is also a volume.I think that it is just right if you come by some people, share it and eat a lot.
